What I liked
prompt treatment, courteous staff, efficient procedure.
What could be improved
explanation that i could telephone for further treatment of a condition which requires injections every five or six months. assuming that i could contact the clinic again when further injections were necessary i was told that my "open" appointment had passed the six month deadline and that i would have to return to g.p., arrange an appointment with him, and then wait for another appointment at the hospital for further treatment. in all, this has taken ten weeks so far, and my condition has deteriorated accordingly.
Anything else?
my treatment was initially for "trigger finger" in both hands (occurring at different times), but having been diagnosed for spinal spondylosis" some thirteen years ago i am now suffering from arthritis not only in my neck but in my shoulder, arms, wrists , fingers and thumbs. i also experience worrying numbness and "pins and needles" in my hand. from my experience liaising with friends, i presume that this deterioration of treatment is part of the cancellation, postponement or inefficiency of a system in decline and cut-back. my injections in the past have taken just three minutes to administer. i am still waiting, in considerable pain, taking ibubrofen and alcohol in the hope of further treatment in the near future.
"i am frustrated and in increasing pain waiting for..."
