"I attended Fotherby Ward for a procedure in day care"

About: County Hospital Louth / General surgery

(as a service user),

I was made welcome and looked after well by all concerned throughout

Just one criticism....i think we were all given instruction to arrive at the same time ie 12.30 This meant a long wait for some. I was last on the list and so didnt leave till 17 10

Dear Granny J

I've passed your lovely feedback to the team on Fotherby Ward.

We do ask all patients to come in at the same time as for their procedures.so they can all be booked in and seen by the relevant surgeons and anaesthetists before the theatre session starts. We know its not 'patient centred' but if we had to ask the surgeons and anaesthetists to leave theatres to assess every patient during the theatre session then there would lengthy delays and would mean a reduction in the number of operations carried out.

Regards

Sharon
