Whilst on the TCU m4 during visiting times my daughter who had additional needs was denied visiting me in my ward room with her father. Even after I explained that this might cause her to have a meltdown due to her condition she was only allowed in the family room for five minutes. Even after the staff who were there at eight o clock said they would keep an eye on my baby whilst I went to see my daughter not one of them got up to go to the ward room. This was my child who the went home in a state of confusion and upset as to why she wasn’t allowed to see her brother as she had done the day before. I know from previous people staying that only a boy last week was allowed to stay with his mother during non visiting hours. A rule for one should be rule for all. My child could not come during normal visiting hours due to a family emergency but none of these things were taken into account from the staff who were at the desk at that time and who were not compassionate at all from a parents point of view. This seriously needs to be looked into especially for parents who have young children and those who have special needs.
