I went to the urgent care unit after feeling ill for over 2 weeks and it was getting worse and because I had just moved to London, my GP is in a different city. I was assessed by the nurse very quickly and he assured me that a thorough assessment would be done by the Dr once he sees me. I waited for over 3 hours to be seen by Dr only for him to tell me that he is an emergency Dr and therefore, there's nothing he can do. He refused to do anything further because he did not consider it an emergency. He said I needed to go and see a GP. This was on a Friday evening at 4.55pm. I asked what he wanted me to do about the pain and his response was flippant. I found this quite amazing. How can someone be in pain and the only thing a Dr can say is because he is an emergency Dr, there's NOTHING he can do!
"Horrible service"
