If you actually manage to find your way to the department you need then well done!
The lack of appropriate signage and the poor information on any existing signage was quite frankly shocking and wholly unsafe as I was alone and it was dark. After walking around in the dark for 20 minutes I managed to find a member of staff who wasn't sure herself how to get to the area I needed. When I got to the lifs I waited seven minutes for the one working lift to arriive. It had been propped open so that staff from the private ward could load some equipment into it. I was collecting my mother from a ward on the 4th floor but nobody questioned where I was parked or if it was necessary to get her a wheelchair. She had just had heart surgery and is fairly unsteady on her feet. I did tell the staff member the issues I had encountered but she just smiled and said it was difficult if you didn't know your way around. Words faled me at this point. When I got my mother to the car she was breathless and quite upset as she had nearly fallen several times. This is totally unacceptable for a healthcare provider.
"Ridiculous"
