I developed a large lump on my palate and was referred to the oral surgery department. Having previously had cancer, I was pretty worried that this lump could be cancerous, too. I also have a very deep-seated phobia of dentists due to painful treatment as a child.
I met the consultant initially, who was very pleasant and reassuring, and then weeks later I had the lump removed. The doctor and team who did this were absolutely brilliant, keeping me calm and keeping pain to the minimum. I cannot praise everybody highly enough.
Fortunately, the biopsy was OK as well. Thank you to all the staff who dealt with me.
"Great treatment from start to finish."
