"A&E care for pinched nerve/ slipped disc pain"

About: The Maidstone Hospital / Accident and emergency

I waited 3 and a half hours, not knowing what I was waiting for as nobody had informed me. Then I saw a GP who said I would be fine by the end of the day and prescribed me 3 days medicationto be safe. I am now waiting to see a physiotherapist at a private hospital as I have been referred by another GP for my condition days after they said I would fine. Complete waste of time and I am still in extreme pain.

Nurses were in groups drinking tea and laughing as patients were waiting, two even talking about their weekends.

Very poor Service with poor communication.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback following you recent visit to Maidstone Emergency Department (ED).

We were sorry to read that the service you received on this occasion fell below you expectations.

As you will appreciate, the ED is a very busy service which does mean that at times, patients with non-emergency conditions may experience a wait to be seen.

If you would like us to look into your experience in more detail, please contact us at mtw-tr.palsoffice@nhs.net or call 01892 632953, where a member of staff will be happy to help.

Kind regards, The PALS Team.
