"Emergency Treatment takes nearly a year to be seen"

About: Kingston Hospital

I had a tooth infection almost a year ago.

My dentist said my tooth needed to come out immediately and referred me to Kingston.

It took weeks and weeks to get an emergency consultation then weeks and weeks to get an emergency appointment.

Kingston Hospital then changed the appointment date, and I had to reschedule.

When I was unwell on the day, they said I have to start the process all over again. :-(. I’m now in pain with my tooth and going on holiday in a few weeks time.

I’ve just been re-referred by my Dentist. Kingston Hospital Receptionist wasn’t sympathetic to my long wait or my discomfort and just wanted to get me off the phone.

She told me it’ll be another 2 weeks before the consultant gets in touch with me and that is just for another consultation.

I’ll then be referred for another appointment.

be almost a year by the time I’m seen and that’s following my dentist’s advice that this was an emergency.
