Me and my family have been patients at Lodgeside doctors for many years, we have always had good care for all staff - girls answering phone are polite and kind and helpful, nurses and doctors are approachable and good at their job. The one thing I did not like about a Lodgeside is the manic feeling in reception with to many people and to many phones, sometimes when waiting I could feel my own blood pressure rising. Visiting last Monday I was very pleasantly surprised to find a much calmer reception area and reception girls seem to have more time to help patients - great idea moving phones to another building

We have asked nhs to merge the old profile of Lodgeside Surgery with Fireclay Health but unfortunately they are not able to do so. This Fireclay Health profile will be the main site going forward.

In view of increasing call volumes, pressure in our reception areas and negative feedback with regard to call answering; we created a reception hub. The hub started on 15/10/2018, designed to take the majority of calls for Lodgeside Surgery and St George Health Centre, during our peak hours 08.00 - 14.00. We are pleased to report that, in addition to improving the pressure at both reception front desks, the hub has also significantly improved call answering.
