I was admitted to Firth 7 late at night after a few hours in A&E. The team were friendly, compassionate, engaging and professional.
There was a doctor was present at all times, and there were regular visits from the consultant too.
The team treated me, and the other patients, with absolute dignity throughout the night. Decisions were explained, I felt supported and safe.
The handover to day staff was equally as professional; I was greeted by a nurse from the next shift who updated me with clinical opinions based on observations through the early hours.
Throughout my entire stay, I knew who was in charge, and who was responsible for leading what types of work. Despite this, the staff integrated seamlessly across the various teams.
The staff on Firth 7, across all grades and professions, were faultless. Not only a credit to the Trust, but a credit to the whole NHS.
Well done, keep up the good work, and thank-you.
