This department is well staffed and waiting times are usually minimal. Following some PRP laser treatment in August I had a follow-up appointment on 1 November.. After the usual prelims and a scan I saw a doctor I hadn't seen before. She examined my eyes (and presumably looked at the scans), and announced that I had wet MD in both eyes and that I would need an eye angiogram. I sat rather depressed while she went away to discuss this with the consultant. Upon her return she divulged that she'd been looking at someone else's scans - someone with a surname similar to my own - and that I didn't have wet MD after all, but dry MD. We all make mistakes, of course, but a little more care would have avoided this situation. (Having said all that, though, this department and its staff are overall second to none.)
