About: Royal Blackburn Hospital / Vascular surgery

Went in for small opp to determine what was wrong ! Arrived for my 12.00 appointment on time and was still sat waiting at 4.30 had small opp then back to ward for 4hrs laid on my back .the staff as usual were excellent !!! Apart from one male who was a bit laid back .and when my partner came to pick me up at about 9 20 the buzzer didn't work so she could not get in to recovery ward so had to phone my cell phone !! Apart from that it was the waiting that caused a bit of stress .again excellent staff thanks to all of them.

Thank you for your comments regarding your recent exploratory operation within Vascular Services at Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital and thank you for taking the time to do so.

It is lovely to hear that you found the care you received from the staff to be excellent.

However, I am sorry for the length of time you had to wait before you were taken for your operation and that you did not receive an explanation for the delay.

Also your partner had to phone your mobile as they were unable to access the recovery ward.

I will ensure that your comments are brought to the attention of the senior staff for the department and shared with the team.
