What I liked

We went to the A & E on a referral from our GP. My husband has emphysema and had contracted a very bad chest infection and could not breathe properly. We arrived there by taxi and once I had handed in my husbands letter and paperwork to the receptionist, a porter wheeled him down to the clinic where he was seen within 5 minutes.

They decided to treat him immediately, and from then on the staff were absolutely fantastic. He was looked after exceptionally well., and at no time did we feel we were being left out of the treatment. They explained everything as they treated him and he was diagnosed with Pneumonia.

In the evening he was transferred to St. James Hospital.

I must say that he was really worried about going into hospital as there is so much bad publicity nowadays about hospital tretment that I had to write and tell you just how fantastic the LGI A & E staff were. We were very impressed.
