The care received on ecu and ward 36 was satisfactory however my discharge was handled very badly my possessions were packed whilst I was in the lavatory and I was told the doctor wants you discharged today as I am an elderly gentleman with complex health concerns the situation could and should have been delt with in a more humane and encompassing manner many issues we were unsure of and I was simply abandoned in the discharge lounge that is a large clinical room with numbers above chairs very frail people spent long periods of time in night clothing with little or no staff support available much more must be done to ensure patients comfort and dignity.
