"Waiting time to see Neurosurgical Consultant"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Neurosurgery (Ward 64 – 66) Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Xrays and Scans

(as a service user),

We have been waiting over 18 months to get my husbands Mri result so he can get his next scan. He has tumour on the spine. He is to get mri every year.

We had an appointment for november but received a letter saying unfortunately was cancelled and new appointment is for mid april 2019!

We are very dissapointed, we have been waiting long enough. We need an appointment asap!

Dear Mk1975

I am concerned that your husband has been waiting 18 months to get his MRI results.

With your husband’s permission, would you mind emailing me your husband’s personal details (including his date of birth) so that we can look into this? My email address is: Nicole.McInally@ggc.scot.nhs.uk

Thank you

Nicole

Dear Mk1975

Please accept our apologies for the rescheduling of your husband’s appointment in November. We recognise the distress and inconvenience that this causes to our patients and we do try to avoid this as much as we possibly can.

I can confirm that your husband’s appointment remains scheduled for April 2019.

Regards

Craig Broadfoot

Clinical Services Manager
