The receptionist was curt on my arrival.
She told me that "It's not even 8 o'clock yet", when I asked her whether the department was open.
It was actually 8:02a.m.
The published opening time is 8:00a.m, which by definition should mean that the MIU staff are available to see the public at this time, not that they are still setting up.
If the section was not yet ready, she could have relayed this information a little more politely.
The ENP was no better.
I honestly felt as though she didn't want to help me.
She made me feel as though I was wasting her time.
After undergoing a minor procedure, she didn't even offer wound care advice.
Just told me to look out for infection, high temperature, flu-like symptoms and to keep the dressing dry.
I was so disappointed by the attitude of the ENP that I didn't even extend a thank you to her as I honestly didn't feel that she deserved one.
I left the consulting room and never looked back.
Is the MIU now an exclusive facility that only serves workers in the City of London?
I used to work for the Trust and actually used to cover the reception desk at the MIU.
I was made to feel most unwelcome and would hesitate to attend this facility again.
"Disappointed"
