I would like to thank the staff at Chase Farm Urgent Care for the excellent and prompt treatment I received there on the morning of Friday 19th October.
I had fallen earlier and arrived with a deep, painful gash on my shin.
I checked in and seen almost immediately by the triage nurse who took my history and put a temporary dressing on the wound, then after a very short time in the waiting area I was called in for treatment.
I saw a very experienced Paramedic/Nurse who cleaned and assessed my wound and clearly explained how she planned to treat it.
Although she was called away for a while to advise some new staff coming on duty, another paramedic on a learning placement was with me during that time.
I was exrayed at a unit very near the treatment room and, although there was a very nice waiting area with TV I was called in very quickly.
Using a ‘sterile wound pack’, washing hands and fresh disposable gloves/aprons etc. the senior paramedic and assistant were scrupulous to ensure that everything used remained
completely sterile.
When some scissors accidentally fell on the floor, they were replaced with a fresh sterile pair.
The senior paramedic carefully injected the wound with anaesthetic and I hardly felt a thing as she did an amazing and careful job sewing up the awkward wound in my shin with 5 expert stitches.
I’m confident I had the best treatment possible at Chase Farm Urgent Care, delivered promptly and with a smile.
"Professional, prompt and friendly treatment"
