"Excellent service on two seperate occasions at A&E"

About: Whipps Cross University Hospital / Accident and emergency

I am writing to express my thanks for the excellent service my wife and I have recently received at Whipps Cross A&E Department. Today I was involved in a collision while riding my bicycle in Epping Forest and arrived by car at A&E with a suspected spinal injury. After answering a few questions at reception I was immediately attended to by medical staff who fitted me with a neck brace. Shortly thereafter I was seen by a doctor who diagnosed a soft tissue injury and not a vertebral fracture. The doctor clearly explained his reasons for coming to his diagnosis, allowed me to go home but with full & clear instructions on when to return if my condition deteriorated and what medication to use. All the staff I came into contact with were courteous, efficient and professional.

My wife also attended A&E at Whipps four weeks ago for a suspected broken bone in her foot. Her injury was x-rayed and a splint supplied and fitted. Again all staff were courteous, helpful and professional.

Once again thank you to all the staff at Whipps Cross for the excellent work they do..
