I have been an ENT patient for many years due to complex chronic sinusitis and allergic rhinitis. I have noticed appointment waiting times have got longer and longer!! I was due my routine appointment in Aug 2018 but was only seen at the end of Oct 2018 and not by my actual consultant. I am now suffering from a nasty sinus infection and cannot tolerate tablet antibiotics anymore. I have been advised by ENT that I can have an antibiotic that goes in my sinus rinse. Getting hold of this is difficult... My GP is trying to ring the consultant to see what it is and how I go about getting it, but cannot get hold of him as of yet!! I am feeling very unwell in the meantime. I rang ENT outpatients and was told that it's weeks to wait for an appointment!!!! Why can't I get an emergency one when I really need it? Do I have to go to A&E to be seen?? All the staff are great, it's the appointment and emergency system that's not!!
"Very long appointment waiting times and no..."
