I am absolutely furious that I have turned up today to the MIU at 5pm to find out its not even open at the moment. Before I went I tried calling as I was taking my 2 yr old son there was no answer and it said no one was available to take the call. After turning up I even checked the website to see if it says its not open and no nothing on there. I have wasted my time driving to the unit to have to turn round and go back to Cheltenham where I would of gone in the first place if I had known you weren't open!! Please have the common courtesy to put a message on your phone service or on your website.

Dear Sophie - Thank you for taking the time to give us this feedback for Tewkesbury Hospital Minor Injuries & Illness Unit, but we are very sorry that the MIIU was closed when you arrived. Weds 31st October was the only day last month that the MIIU was closed early and this was unfortunately because of staff sickness. The MIIU Team tried to cover the shift, but were eventually unable to. Closing the MIIU early was a last resort and it is a measure we are very reluctant to take. Although our website is unable to show service changes at short notice, there should have been a message on the MIIU phone and for this we apologise sincerely and for the inconvenience and upset this would have caused you. In the meantime, your comments will be included in our October report for our Senior Managers and also forwarded to the MIIU Manager and our two County MIIU Matrons.
