I had a Carcinoid lung tumor removed by mr bille. I stayed on Dorcas ward. My care by every member of staff from the time I was admitted til the day I was discharged was simply 10/🔟
I was referred by Medway hospital in Kent. They were excellent with the initial possible diagnosis and all investigations were done very promptly indeed. I suffered from a lot of anxiety during all the investigations and waiting for results but obviously understood that this was what had to do be done in order to receive the corect treatment for myself. On meeting Mr Bille approximately 1 month before the operation he meticulously went through what to expect before, during the op and the aftercare. I felt very lucky and very much at ease that this Consultant would be performing the operation. After the operation I was in some pain but minimal considering type of surgery I had been through. I was discharged after 4 days as I made a good recovery. I am still recovering slowly but surely at home some 2 weeks later but have reduced my medication greatly. I am so grateful to Mr Bille and all the team at Guys. Also very grateful to Medway Maritime my local hospital.
