Several years ago I had the need to use Wigan Infirmary , and about 70% ofthe experience was poor.I hoped not to have to return
I have over the past 2 weeks , however attended the cardiology department for an angiogram, and the pre op experience and the day of the procedure itself were absolutely excellent.
Each member of staff went above and beyond and helped me at every stage of the process.Nurses knew their job, and did it in a friendly fashion.I encountered 3 doctors ,who each showed me great respect and attention, explaining everything in detail , both before , during and especially during the results. It was great to be treated as though I had a brain, rather than as an older person , with not much understanding.
The process was topped off with a personal call 2 days later, to check that my medication is being taken correctly.
Thank you very much to all the staff on the unit.
"So much improvement"
