"The experience I had was exceptional"

About: Falkirk Community Hospital / Opthalmology

(as the patient),

I attended this hospital on 2 occasions, the first to find out if I was suitable  for the Surgery and secondly for the surgery.

On both visits I was kept informed what was happening ( good communication ) and treated with respect and kindness.

On the day of the surgery I was again informed at every stage what was happening and what was going to happen, all through the process I felt that all the security checks were in place to make sure that the right surgery was administered.

Any doubts I had was quickly answered and as it was my first surgery I felt reassured.

The surgery itself was again explained in detail and the nurse also held my hand in case I needed a moment. After the surgery I was helped back to the waiting room and the medication for after surgery was explained for the after care.

The experience I had was exceptional and the Hospital itself was immaculate.

Well done and Thank You

Thank you for taking the time to share with us your recent experience of having surgery at Falkirk Community Hospital. Good communication and good information delivered in a kind and respectful manner is exactly what we strive to achieve to make sure our patients feel safe and confident during their stay. I will share your kind words with the whole team and will also pass on to our domestic team your lovely words about the cleanliness of the department. Many thanks.
