i cracked a tooth on Friday evening and tried unsuccessfully to shore it up with a repair kit before spending the night in some discomfort. By Saturday morning I realised I couldn’t wait til Thursday to see my nhs dentist in London, so looked online for and eventually found an emergency appointment at the out of hours service at east oxford, the nearest available to my weekend location in Banbury. The dentist and dental nurse weren’t able to solve the problem fully, but they got me out of pain and safe to wait to see my own dentist during the week, and this in a courteous and professional way which I really appreciated. To get this standard of care at a minimal price is just amazing. Thank you. Two suggestions - please make explicit that emergency appointments are through 111 - I looked in vain for a signpost to the service online, and it was only through a neighbour’s advice that I found this. Secondly, please provide the rude uncommunicative receptionist at the dental Centre on Saturday afternoon 27 October 2018 some customer service training - she is a shocker. Not what you need when you are fearful and in pain. And such a poor ambassador for a magnificent service.
"Magnificent emergency dental service"
