Recently my elderly mother who was suffering from dementia had to be taken into a & e as she was suffering respiratory problems. She was in one of the local care homes and came in by ambulance. The doctor and nurse responsible for mums care were nothing short of fabulous. They took me to a separate room to explain there was nothing they could do for mum and they would help to get her back to her own room at the home to end her life with dignity. I would like to say a huge thank you to a doctor and nurse who gave mum the very best care. Sadly mum passed away 3 days later but the way they handled the situation is very worthy of the highest praise. In this day and age people seem to always complain and I have not always had a positive experience with mum in a & e but the care on this occasion was faultless. Thank you so much.
