"Made bearable by a friendly, comforting and..."

About: Bassetlaw Hospital

What I liked

The colonoscopy is of course quite an uncomfortable procedure, being 17 doesn't make it any better. I struggled during the examination with the pain (may I note this is not because of anything being done wrong), I was treated extremely well by the nurses and doctor who reassured me when I was in pain and kept telling me I was doing very well. I was treated with respect and dignity. I cannot praise the staff there enough, they made my short stay more bearable. Many thanks to them.

Thank you for your views on our Endoscopy service and team. We greatly appreciate your positive feedback. I am so pleased that we were able to make your visit bearable. It is our aim to provide high quality care and service for all patients that attend our unit. The procedures we do can cause some patients anxiety and it is most important that you feel supported during this time.
