"Perfect. Helped me when I needed it most"

I was really bad on the drink and was borderline dependent, drinking from morning through night..

I attended pre detox meetings with CGL and they referred me after several weeks.

Chapman barker was a game changer. I was like a fish out of water for the first day but once I got to know some of the staff and some of the other patients I was a lot more relaxed..

The first few days were tough but once that was out of the way it was like a holiday park. The choice of food was excellent considering its a hospital. The staff were the most professional people you could have asked for. Very rarely does the place seem understaffed.

The only negative thing I have to say about Chapman barker is the queue for meds was very tedious. Literally 2 hours out of your day waiting if you don't get there early enough.

That said I cannot fault the place. I have been sober for 6 months now with only 1 minor setback but im sticking at it.

One happy customer if I'm being honest. Really good work by everyone in chapman barker. Thank you!

Firstly, thank you for sharing your story. Sharing your experiences of the treatment you’ve received and how the staff worked with you will definitely help others in a similar situation. It is great to read your kind comments about the Chapman-Barker Unit regarding the support you’ve received recently. We will take on board your comments about receiving medication and see if we can streamline this process. It is wonderful to hear that you are six months sober - that's a massive achievement. We really value your feedback and it will be a pleasure to pass on your review to all the team who played their part in making such a difference to your recovery.

All the very best wishes.
