"Removal of polyps Oral Department"

About: Cumberland Infirmary

I was referred to this department by my dentist and attended on Friday 19th October.

My procedure occurred today, 7 days later.

The consultant explained everything to me in detail. After the local anaesthetic I did not feel any pain.

He removed a polyps and took a section for biopsy from my other cheek. I had stitches in and again did not feel anything.

There were three members of this team, and all of them very friendly and professional.

Its quite scary having procedures in your mouth but it was all fine and I would recommend them.

All we ever seem to hear are bad reports so its nice to be able to leave a good one.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience in the Oral and Maxillofacial surgery department. I am very pleased you had such a positive experience during the removal of the polyps. I fully understand how scared you must have felt .The team work very hard to ensure patients are comfortable and have a full understanding of the procedure.

I shall ensure your comments are passed to the team who will be delighted to know that you were pain free throughout the procedure and that you appreciated their care.

Many thanks
