What I liked

Very modern and exceptionally clean environment. Food of excellent nutritional quality. The theatre staff listened to my real fears and concerns and were very helpful and caring in their approach to me.

What could be improved

There is room for improvement in the communication between staff; particularly with regard to reviews by doctors and how things can change during the day. In addition, it is not made clear that family cannot spend time, however short, with the patient after arrival in the Treatment Centre. My partner was very distressed at this and yet two or three other patients had family with them until they went to theatre. I had arrived at 6.30am and waited alone, until 3.15pm. There should be transparent equity and fairness applied.

Overall, an excellent hospital which has improved greatly with the rebuild.
