About: Croydon University Hospital / Accident and emergency

I come in to a&e on my own accordance for a minor incident. Whilst waiting I decided to ask how long and was told "you just got here" when I wanted to self release (sign a paper to say I was happy to leave before seeing a doctor) I was told I couldn't and they would call the police and the doctor was seeing me next. After waiting half hour I decided I would just leave and then they decided to send the doctor to see me. Overall the staff was rude and unhelpful.

I am so sorry to learn of your experience in A&E as this is not the standard that we expect for our patients. I will pass your comments to the senior staff responsible for the department so that they are aware of your experience.
