"Excellent care"

About: Tiverton and District Hospital / Minor injury unit

(as a parent/guardian),

Had to take my one year old daughter to Tiverton Urgent care centre. She had a high fever of 39.4 that I could not seem to control. Combined with fast breathing, I was quite concerned.

Got triaged straight away by a male HCA, very friendly and efficient. Saw the on call doctor next, I cant remember his name. He was very reassuring and made me feel at ease and not like I was wasting his time (which I was worried about)! Ended up staying for a couple hours until the fever was more under control.

Luckily just a viral infection but we received great care, such a valuable service. Thank you!

Dear DEvonmum1,

Thank you for taking the time to share your story and I hope your daughter is recovering well.

It is always rewarding to hear stories of how our staff are delivering care and support to patients and those around them when they need it most.

We would be happy to share your story with the staff involved in this instance, however, to do so we will need some specific information. If you would like us to do this, please may I ask you to contact us on either plaudits@swast.nhs.uk or 01392 453 831 and a member of the Patient Engagement Team will be happy to help you further.

Thank you, again, for taking the time to provide us with feedback.

Kind regards,

Sharifa
