It's a decent surgery, but there are a few problems with it.
As a trans patient, there's a lot to be desired. While one specific doctor is lovely and very understanding of it all, everyone else at the surgery suddenly forgets how to function on the topic. I understand it's "new" to some people, but personally, at this point I would expect that doctors and other employees are given at least a brief explanation of what and who transgender people are, ESPECIALLY if they're to give me care. Basically, sometimes it feels like I'm asking the world of them when it's the most simple thing; putting a side note for my preferred name and pronouns. That ended up almost having me removed from the surgery because for some reason that translated to changing my name entirely (even though I thoroughly explained it all) and I didn't have ID with my chosen name.
Another issue is with a certain other doctor who I feel is very disrespectful to those who suffer with mental health, specifically depression. Overall however, the previously mentioned trans-friendly doctor is also incredibly mental-health friendly, so as long as I manage to grab him for an appointment, I'm good.
TLDR; all but one person reacts to trans issues like headless chickens, and one guy thinks "have you tried to be happy?" is a valid thing to say to someone who suffers with chronic depression.
"Decent"
