About: Oaklands Hospital

Booked half an hour early for day surgery.

My name was rang through to the team. Sat in a crowded waiting room watching others come and go.

An hour after my appointment I approach reception and advised I’d be seen shortly.

Taken into a side room. To,d sorry, but no one knew I was there. Theatres closed. Staff gone home. Bye bye.

A promise of an investigation and a callback next day with a new appointment.

Guess what?

Next day is over. No callback and my calls and messages ignored.

Two days off work because of incompetence and still no contact or new date for the procedure.

They really don’t give a toss about the patients despite the posters everywhere about how they love working for their patients.

Funny also that no one from the hospital has the decency to respond to negative reviews on here but they can respond to the few positive ones.

Total shambles of a place.

Dear patient,

I am terribly sorry about your experience recently at Oaklands Hospital. I am currently looking into what happened during this theatre session as to how as a patient you attended the hospital and waiting for a memeber of the team to address you yet it resulted in your procedure being cancelled. I can only apologise for this however if you would like to contact my PA on 0161 787 3452 i would be happy to send a fuller response to you once we understand as a team what happened on the day. Thank you however for bringing this to our attention and i will also check with the team that all patients from the day are followed up so hopefully that way we will make contact with you.
