Yesterday afternoon I had to go to the A&E services at the Charing Cross hospital, because I’m suffering a very strong pain on my lower back. I try to treat these pain on my own going to an osteopath, but the pain wa still there and the osteopath advises me to go to the hospital.
So, yesterday Monday 15th of October around 4pm I reach there. I didn’t wait to long to have the first recognition visit. The nurse that was there ask me to seat but since my pain it’s very strong when I seat I request her to be standing she wasn’t happy at all about it. After that I show her a letter that the osteopath gave me and she start to laugh. I was in shock about her reaction ( not professional at all) and ask her what was so funny. Her answer was nothing. From that moment her treat to me wasn’t neither professional neither polite. She kept laughing until I left the consult where she was.
After that I been waiting to be seen by a doctor around 2 hours ( the place was quiet busy). When I finally listen my name. I’m spect to see finally someone professional, what was my surprise that the doctor didn’t even look at me. He just gave me some pain killers and that’s all. I’m sure that he didn’t even notice my gender because his face was all the time at the computer.
When people goes to the hospital to stay at least 3 hours, wants a bit of respect and someone that looks at your problems
"The staff had a laugh about my back pain."
