"All hype and no services."

I was initially really excited that a young family member had managed to secure a place at The Priory. I read the blurb on the website and I thought at last, they will get some much needed help but I was wrong. All the Priory did was contain them and dope them up to the eye balls with anti-psychotics.

I wrote a lengthy letter to their consultant, who I could never reach on the telephone and who never returned my calls, outlining my concerns. I did not receive any response. When I rang staff on the wards to enquire about my relative, the staff spoke to me with annoyance as though I was intruding on their day and as if I had no right to. How disappointing and such poor practice, not to involve close family. My relative received no treatment at all during several weeks of residency at The Priory in spite of the website extolling the benefits of its various therapies.

We will do our very best to ensure that they do not return to The Woodbourne Priory.
