"admitted for diverticulitis"

About: Charing Cross Hospital / Accident and emergency

On Thursday 27th Sept I arrived at A & E full of apprehension. To my amazement I was seen within minutes. The letter from my GP must has helped. The staff was kind, considerate and

and very efficient. Everything was spotless. I was given a gown and asked to undress. Soon

a nurse arrived , took some blood ,very efficient and left was is required for intravenous injections. Another nurse, blood pressure, temperature. Another nurse more inspections and moved to another bed until surgeon arrived. I could not believe how efficient and totally professional everybody was , asking me if I was comfortable , making sure i would not fall off the bed. Two X-rays performed , no messing around, quickly and always with kindness.

I would like to thank the staff and their Head of department for the wonderful experience I had although I was in terrible pain. I was afterwards taken to the seven floor for the night.
