What I liked
My relative was admitted in the Emergency unit to this hospital and she passed away. Initially the doctors couldn't diagnosed her and treated her symptomaticologically. Since day one doctor gave all negative vibes. On the second day, there was a little bit improvement so she was shifted to one of the priory wards. When we asked the doctor about the cause of illness, all the blunders were poured out. No one was capable enough to answer. The Senior doctor was also the same. After shifting to one of the priory wards, my relatives health deteriorated and we called nurse. She came down and checked the vital stats and said she is OK. Though it was clear view that my relative was sinking and couldn't respire properly. Requested nurse couple of times to call Doctors. Finally after 30 mins, Nurse practitioner came down and after an hour Doctor turned up. Finally my relative passed away.
What could be improved
After God, Doctors are been given that position because they are the one who saves life. If from day one doctors starts giving negative vibes, what could you expect from such doctors? I have noticed Doctors are untrained. Though they have their qualifications, what about their exposure to patients. They need to develop inter-personal communication skills, need to develop a confidence in patient and in relatives rather than loosing hopes. If a relative is calling doctors, what are nurse practitioner doing there? they just come, check the vital stats and call the doctors. And by the time doctors come, the patients health is 3/4 deterioarted? Without stabilising patients condition how could you shift patient to priory wards. Staff takes ages and ages to give their hand over, when they are been called, they don't come immediately and neither doctors.
