"Hysterectomy"

About: George Eliot Hospital - Acute Services / Gynaecology

I was told that I needed a hysterectomy and some other repair work done on my bladder. This was in March 2018. I was informed that the waiting time would be 18 weeks. I am now on week 30. I have contacted the hospital on two occasions and spoke to a lovely secretary. She told me she couldn't even estimate a date.

I have again had time off work this week due to another UTI caused by a prolapse of various parts of my anatomy. I can't plan anything in my life without researching where the nearest toilets are!

I can't go to another NHS trust as I'll have to start the waiting process all over again! I can't afford to pay for it privately either - and why should I? I paid for the initial consultation as I was fed up of being pushed from department to department. So I haven't even visited the hospital yet!

I understand your staffing problems but this is my life that's at a standstill!
