I’ve just gone for my first ever flu jab, visiting my usual GP surgery in Clarence Road, Windsor. It all went remarkably smoothly and was completely trauma free, given that I’m always anxious at the thought of needles! I was assisted at reception by a friendly, patient and helpful receptionist who explained the procedure and I settled down in the waiting room about twenty minutes early for my scheduled appointment. There were two rooms being used and there were seven patients in front of me. I only had to wait a few minutes literally before being called and this was earlier than my appointment time. I was seen by two lovely young ladies, both of whom were welcoming, friendly and chatty. I was immediately at ease. I was actually offered a second jab ( pneumonia) and both injections were done swiftly, skilfully and completely painlessly. The whole process took only a matter of minutes and I was on my way home before my actual scheduled appointment time. Absolutely no adverse reaction so far and no discernible side effects. Highly satisfactory visit all round. Well done to all concerned. God bless our NHS and everyone connected to it.
