"Stemi Heart Attack"

About: New Cross Hospital / Cardiology West Midlands Ambulance Service University NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as the patient),

I suffered with a Stemi Heart Attack and was taken to New Cross (Cardiology department). I was seen to immediately and down the lab within a short time. Roughly 40 mins later I returned to the ward (having had 3 stents). It was a Sunday evening and the cardiology team were rushed in, it was marvellous. I was on the ward till Tuesday afternoon (being monitored all the time) and sent home all fixed. The ward staff were excellent and I couldn't wish for a better outcome.

I would like to say the Ambulance Crew were marvellous, especially with there choice to take me to New Cross and I am so grateful and thankful to all.

Thank you very much for taking the time to post comments regarding your patient experience. I will share your comments with our staff and wish you all the best.

In relation to the ambulance service, if you accessed this service by calling 999, this is not one of our services, it is provided by West Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust, their details can be found on their website https://wmas.nhs.uk/contact/

Kindest Regards
