"Not got an appointment in two years"

About: Wells Park Practice

Impossible to get an appointment when you are unwell.

I’ve had to rely on walk in clinics for two years and the nearest one in new cross has been shut down. I had to go to east croydon and wait for two hours in a walk in centre.

The NHS is in a very sorry state of affairs.

I called 111 today who told me to go to a&e for a chest infection. Just ridiculous!

Dear Patient

Thank you your feedback. We are sorry to hear you have had difficulties in booking an appointment with the Practice, and have not been seen in two year.

We offer subject to availability, appointments up to two weeks in advance, and some appointments are released daily for emergencies or urgent cases.

The reality is that demand will always outweigh capacity due to public health awareness, therefore our aim is to meet the needs of our patients and manage demands.

We are sorry that we do not appear to have met your needs lately. Our receptionist staff have been trained to signpost patients appropriately and if appointments are not available, and if appropriate, patients could be referred to a Walk in Centre, Pharmacy (minor ailments), GP extended access or a call back from the doctor.

We are sorry for the inconvenience you have endured.

As your comments have been posted anonymously, we are unable to contact you to ensure your needs have since been met.

However we are requesting that you please contact us so that we can put things right for you. We thank you for the opportunity to respond publicly

Regards

Antonia
