"Bad service and unfair treatment!"

To make an appointment with my doctor is almost impossible.

Whenever I ask for an urgent appointment I almost always told to go to the walk-in center..

Whenever I try to book a routine appointment, I am always given one in 1.5-2 months time..

I have now decided to use my GP app to book appointments.

At the end of September I managed to book two appointments during the upcoming halt term for myself and my child. I work in a school so the half term was a perfect time for me. Today, I checked my app and it said that my appointments were canceled!!!

No phone call, no explanation.

This is so wrong! We, as patients, should not be treated like this.

We are sorry that it was necessary to cancel your appointments. We would have attempted to contact you regarding this to find an acceptable alternative arrangement for your week off, not just left it to you to get in touch with the surgery. We apologise for the shortage of bookable appointments. We still allow patients to book in advance which can mean a long wait to see a particular clinician. Some practices have stopped patients from being able to book in advance which mitigates the issue arising from a cancelled service. We believe that this would favour those who can manage their affairs more actively, and reduce access for the disadvantaged.
