"Excellent care at Endoscopy Suite"

I went yesterday to the Endoscopy Suite outpatient department for a colonoscopy.

All the staff there including reception staff were very polite and helpful. The nursing staff were excellent - very kind, sympathetic and very easy to talk to and put patients at ease relating to the procedure as the majority of patients are nervous.

Even though I had read the literature that was given to me with my appointment as to what was going to happen at the test and why, the staff talked me through it again. The atmosphere was calm and friendly.

I cannot praise the staff enough. Well done!

I think far too many people complain when they are not happy but not enough people say thank you for good service. Having worked as a medical secretary to a consultant physician at Nottingham City Hospital for over thirteen years until I retired., I know what it is like to be dealing with patients. Fortunately I only got the odd patient who complained about service and they were mainly ones who did not attend for an appointment and thought they could just come when it suited them, which made my blood boil but I was always remained calm. I know I was a good and caring secretary and my job meant a lot to me and our patients.
