(as a carer),

I'm the carer for my elderly father who has mobility problems. A couple of months ago he was referred to the Douglas Grant Centre to see a physiotherapist and nurses. He found this appointment to be extremely helpful. He was given advice on exercises and also given a walking frame and a toilet seat on a frame to use at home. He asked me to tell his story on Care Opinion as he wanted the staff at the centre to know how much they have helped him and how friendly he found them to be.

I respond initially to most of the posts and ensure they are passed to the appropriate team whether they are compliments, observations or grumbles. It is important to make sure all issues are addressed and I try to encourage that to happen for all the posts as required.
