"Lack of quality care received post ENT surgery"

About: Raigmore Hospital / Ear, Nose & Throat

(as the patient),

I was admitted to Raigmore 4a after my ENT surgery with infection and was rudely greeted by senior ward staff who showed no empathy at all towards the pain I was in. I was clearly admitted to the ward for a reason yet they almost laughed as though I wasn’t in that much pain.

Very poor service of care and made me feel very anxious about being on the ward. I was overall not impressed on the care I received, especially from this staff member of the ward. 

There were however, a couple of lovely nurses who made sure I was ok throughout my time there.

I am sorry to learn that you did not have a positive experience during your admission to Ward 4A in Raigmore Hospital.

I have discussed your concerns with the Charge Nurse in Ward 4A however it is difficult to comment fully without having your admission/personal details.
