I was remarkably impressed by the service I received when attending an MRI scan on the lower floor of this hospital.
The administrative process was swift and the wait time for scan was negligible. The staff were helpful and explained the process, except for one minor detail.
My suggestion which I did attempt to convey to the young man was that for those who’ve never been in such a scanner it may have been helpful to inform the patient that there were to be several separate instances when the machine would be scanning.
The machine does have a ‘voice’ that announces the duration of the imminent scanning, but the frequency of these separate scans was not mentioned.
Personally, I would have found it helpful to know that the scan would take approximately a certain number of minutes during which time it would be scanning on a certain number of separate occasions.
This is not a criticism, merely a suggestion to refine the customer experience.
Thanks for looking after me.
