I was in immense pain in my shoulder this morning. Could only get a telephone triage at my GP but felt I needed to be seen. I attended the walk in centre to be told they were not accepting any more patients due to staff shortages so against all my mis-givings I attended AE. I’m aware this may not have been the best option but having exhausted all other options and taken maximum otc pain relief with little effect I felt I had no choice. I was so impressed with the compassion of the staff from the triage nurse who got me pain relief immediately, the physio who examined me, the x-ray guy who had to help me undress and the nurse consultant who put my mind at rest that the amount of pain I was in was normal due to the nature of the injury.
"Excellent care, Professional Knowledgable Staff."
