Abortion was the most difficult decision I have ever done in my life. It was so stressful and exhausting experience. For sure every woman would say the same and I am not the exception. However, I thought staff at the clinic would be more helpful or more understanding or , which is most important more empathetic! Nurse, which was taking ‘care’ of me was treating me so cold and I would say was really rude. She even done mistake and I got wrong injection, because she read wrong my blood group! She thought my blood was negative. Obviously she was in rush, as it was ten minutes till 5pm, when the clinic is closing! She apologised me, but that was unacceptable. After one week from my abortion I went to another appointment and I have been told I still have some pregnancy tissue left and I should get surgery or another portion of pills. I received the same pills to take at home again. I should bleed heavily again , but instead I got stringer stomach pain and almost no bleeding at all. I called BPAS helpline. After having conversation with nurse she advised me to call to the clinic and tell about my symptoms. For my unfortunate I had to speak with the same nurse, which made mistake before and she said, that there is no way as my pregnancy tissue will come out and I need have surgery! They did not let me go to the clinic and check if everything is fine, because they were fully booked. Instead of waiting for my another appointment I went to hospital. I found out I have infection and I shouldn’t have surgery, because that would be too dangerous. Doctor done scan and I have been advised with next steps. Also, even staff at the hospital thinking is ridiculous, that BPAS wanted do surgery without even checking me first! I guess they would not even check if I have an infection. I hope no one will have similar experience and I am so glad I went to hospital on time. Also, could you please play a little bit more relaxing music at your clinics? I guess every woman would appreciate it !
