"A&E excellent but Parking awful!"

Was quite impressed with my treatment at Broomfield A&E yesterday. I shut my finger in the car door and needed an x-ray and possibly stitches. I saw a triage nurse within half an hour of arriving and then saw a nurse, had an x-ray and back to the nurse to have a dressing put on all in just over 2 hours, considering how busy it was I thought I'd be waiting for a lot longer than that.

The one thing that lets Broomfield down though is the parking. I got a taxi there, but my husband arrived half way through my visit and was queuing up for ages trying to get a space, cars parked where there weren't spaces, it was really bad. They keep building new housing estates all around Chelmsford but they're not building any new hospitals, they've built a new housing estate on the approach road to the hospital, when they could've used that land to build another car park, it's crazy and the parking problem will only get worse unless they do something. Maybe they should build more levels on the existing car park.
