Sadly my mother passed away suddenly in late September on ward 11. From the care she received from the ambulance drivers right up to the time she passed away I could not fault the tremendous professional care she received. The resus team were amazing! Everything was explained to us clearly by nurses registrars and consultants. We were included in every step of the way. Mom was treated with dignity and respect. Ward 11 was beyond amazing. They found us a side ward and let all of us sit with mom until she passed away. The nurses gave us tea coffee and biscuits without us even asking and made sure mom was comfortable. I can’t thank you enough. Mom had worked at the hospital in the 1950s on the fever wards as a nurse so to receive such wonderful care was a fitting tribute to a wonderful lady. 

Service such as yours was exemplary you are a credit to the NHS. Thank you so much from a very grateful family .

Moms care was so amazing, she was treated with dignity and respect by everyone. We as a family are so grateful that our last hours with mom were made to be as comfortable as possible. We were included in every decision and felt mom was so well cared for.

People are quick to complain so I felt it was important for us to be able to say how mom was treated and a massive thank you to all your wonderful staff
